Management veteran Alok Mohan named Chairman of the Board of Saama Technologies, Inc.

Campbell, CA – April 21, 2009 - Saama Technologies, a leading provider of Business Intelligence and Data Management solutions, announced today that Mr. Alok Mohan has been elected as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Mohan is a veteran of over 30 years in the information technology industry and has been a member of the Board at Saama for the past three years. Mr. Suresh Katta will step down as Chairman and continue as the CEO and President of Saama. With this change, Saama is implementing better corporate governance and controls.

Alok has served as CEO and Chairman of SCO, Inc., continuing as Chairman after it was renamed Tarantella, Inc. Prior to joining SCO, he was earlier employed at NCR Corporation as Vice President, Strategic Planning and Controller and Vice President and General Manager of the Workstation Products Division. Alok is also the non-executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of Rainmaker, Inc. and he serves on the Board of Directors of Stampede Technologies, Inc., WSO2, Inc. and Crystal Graphics, Inc.
