For “leveraging AI to reshape the life-sciences industry and digitally transform drug development,” Saama’s VP of Artificial Intelligence Research was named to PharmaVOICE’s prestigious list of the 100 most influential people in Pharma. Malaikannan Sankarasubbu was recognized as one of 18 “Change Agents” and was singled out for “using AI to accelerate clinical trials, quell the pandemic, and re-establish global health and normalcy.”
In addition to citing his use of AI technologies to distinguish coughs generated by people infected by COVID-19 and to enable semantic search of worldwide COVID-19 research, the industry trade magazine honored Malai for his work on Saama’s groundbreaking Smart Data Quality application, which was used to accelerate the development of one of the major COVID-19 vaccines.
